$18.00 – $28.00 per hour

Gills Plumbing is also looking for a hardworking plumber helper to support our staff with basic plumbing installations and remodel work for, comprehensive plumbing services for residential properties, and commercial work, including support for both residential and commercial propertieremodels. In this role you will be supporting our qualified plumbers with their daily tasks customers can count on. Helpers may also assist with bathroom remodel workplumbing and relocating existing plumbing during renovations. You may also be required perform basic plumbing services such as installing toilets & faucets in a friendly, polite manner.

To ensure success as a plumber helper, you should have excellent physical fitness, a strong desire to learn, and detailed knowledge of plumbing techniques. Ultimately, a top-class plumber helper reduces time to finish a job by handling smaller tasks and assisting with major repairs.

• Packing and sorting plumbing equipment and materials for each job.

• Preparing the work area and leaving it clean after the work is completed.

• Fetching tools, materials, stock, and equipment.

• Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes.

• Helping with garbage disposal installation and with repair or replace work for disposals, along with faucets, toilets, and other kitchen plumbing for residential and commercial remodel works.

• Helping install drinking water systems andin homes and assisting with water softeners in residential work to meet household needs; softeners reduce calcium and magnesium, help improve soap and detergent effectiveness, and help prevent scale buildup in plumbing systems.

• Adjusting water pressure valves.

• Assisting with water heater installation, repair, and replacement for all brands; Rheem is commonly used for new installations, and older systems may need expansion tanks, and urgent water heater issues may require 24/7 emergency service.

• Assisting the Master Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs, including emergency plumbing repairs available 24/7.

• Replacing faucets and toilet wax rings.

• Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes.

• Helping with routine maintenance tasks, including maintaining softeners for optimal performance and helping prevent leaking, faucet installation, water heater repairs, water softener service, and repairs for leaks and drips.

• Proven work experience as a Plumber Helper.
